- You are diagnosed with an illness that will result in a limited life expectancy (usually six months or less).
- You or your family are not seeking curative measures, although, you may change your mind at any time to pursue active treatment.
- You are concerned about managing care in the future, and want to explore long-term options.
- You and your family need comfort, care or pain and symptom management.
