A history of quality care
For almost 40 years Memorial Hospital has paved the way for cancer care in Central Washington. From the area's first cobalt therapy unit in 1968 to the leading edge clinical trials of today, Memorial consistently and continually offers patients the latest weapons in preventing and fighting cancer.
In the summer of 2000 Memorial made a giant leap forward in cancer care by opening North Star Lodge. This distinctive facility is recognized as one of the most advanced cancer care centers in the Western United States. At the hospital itself, Memorial offers the area's only dedicated oncology unit- in continuous operation since 1980 with a full staff specially trained in oncology care, along with facilities uniquely designed for cancer patients.
Times have changed since that first radiation machine was installed in Memorial's basement. What remains constant is Memorial serving as a beacon, guiding the way to the area's finest cancer care.
