Radiation Oncology is the use of high-energy radiation to destroy cancer
cells. It's a painless, effective way of controlling or curing many cancerous
growths as well as some benign conditions. The use of radiation in the
fight against cancer dates back more than 100 years.
Memorial's Radiation Oncology team has actively treated Central Washington
residents for over 40 years with a full complement of treatment choices.
We currently utilize:

- High dose rate Brachytherapy
- Low dose rate Brachytherapy
- Permanent Seed Implants
- Radiopharmaceuticals
- Short course and fractionated Stereotactic Radiosurgery

Our experience includes:
- Over 1,000 HDR brachytherapy treatments for more than twenty different
types of cancer
- Over 200 cases of prostate cancer treated with implant therapies
- Over 100 brain tumors treated with both stereotactic radiosurgery or
permanent seed implants
Our Radiation Oncology staff includes:
- Two board certified radiation oncologists with
over twenty years combined
